Use case

i4SD, a social company that designs and implements smart infrastructures with the aim of contributing to sustainable development, chose Whitewall Energy to develop a solar container that would provide electricity supply in Rubondo, in the Nakivale refugee camp, in Uganda.

The project requirements were:
10kW of photovoltaic generator production
Consumption of less than 35kWh / day
Location: Lake Nakivale, Uganda (Near Mbarara).
Voltage output: 230 VAC (PN)
Frequency: 50 Hz
Minimum inverter output power: 9KW
Autonomy: approximately 1 day
Phases: 3PH

Solar Container Nakivale

Whitewall Energy developed a 10kW / 72kWh container with main components from Rekoser, includes the following:
1 x 20 'Shipping Container
30 x Solar Panels - RSP72-330P (330Wp polycrystalline) - 10kW
1 x Mounting Structure Ground mount
24 x Batteries - RKG2-1500 (2V 1500Ah Deep cycle gel) - 72kWh
2 x Battery racks
1 x Inverter - RSI-9K-LF-48V-3PH
3 x Charge controller - RSC1248-80 (48V 80A)
1 x Air Conditioner Unit (3000BTU)
1 x PV Combiner box (15 input / 3 output)
1 x DC Distribution box (4 input / 4 output)
1 x AC Distribution box (1 input / 4 output)
2 x USB Charging station for 22 mobile phones
Wiring and accessories (everything pre-wired)
Everything is pre-wired and mounted. You would only need to place the structure outside of the container and install the solar panels. See more about REKOSER products.

Solar Container Nakivale

The project developed by Whitewall Energy powers a health center, institutional buildings and a technology and vocational training center in the Nakivale refugee camp. The project will benefit some 15,000 residents of the Rubondo area and will create a Scalable model to other refugee camps in Uganda.
